The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, to assist them in their day to day tasks to prepare and dispense pharmaceutical drugs in accordance with standards, State and Federal laws, and department policies and procedures. The Pharmacy Technician interacts cooperatively and courteously with co-workers and healthcare providers to provide customers and patients excellent customer service with each request.

Job Qualifications:




Education (For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.)


Required Education: High School graduate or equivalent


Preferred Education: Associate of Pharmacy Technician degree or a Pharmacy Technician diploma.


Experience


Minimum Experience Required: One year customer service experience. Demonstrated proficiency in math as verified on a pre-employment test.


Preferred/Optional Experience: Two years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Knowledge of Wisconsin pharmacy law and third party reimbursement rules.


Certifications/Licenses


The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:


Preferred/Optional: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
