The Health Service Coordinator provides general clinical, clerical, and technical support to nurses in the IQIPS, to include Nurse Line, Care Management, and Community Health Access departments. The health service coordinator role requires telephonic interpersonal skills characterized by clear communication in an empathetic and professional manner. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic policy/departmental protocol, with strict observance of patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications:




Education (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic Health System.)


Required Education: High school degree or equivalent.


Preferred Education: Graduate of a Health Unit Coordinator Program.


Experience in lieu of education will be considered.


Experience


Minimum Experience Required: Knowledge of Medical Terminology required. Knowledge of office equipment, including CRT/word processor, dictation equipment, copy machine and calculator is essential.


Preferred/Optional Experience: Previous related work experience; Type a minimum of 30 words per minute on a typing test; Knowledge of various software programs, i.e., electronic health record, department specific software applications, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Telephone Software).
